Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to show you the face of hate, bigotry and ignorance. Meet the Teabaggers, members of the self-professed social conservative grassroots movement goose-stepping their way across America. We’ve ridiculed their choice of Sarah Palin as an official messenger, while we scoffed at their racist views espoused during their inaugural convention, but we can’t poke fun at them now. The stakes are too high.
One of the most watched videos on the web today is from The Columbus Dispatch coverage of an anti health care rally led by Teabaggers outside the office of Rep. Mary Jo Kilroy (D-Oh). During the rally, an elderly man apparently suffering from Parkinson’s disease, sits down next to the line of protesters. What followed was appalling, disgusting and should anger each and every citizen.
This is not my America, nor the country my grandparents and parents taught me to love and respect. This is obscene. These fascists must be stopped before they pollute what is left of all we hold sacred about this union.
