Glee creator Ryan Murphy confirmed today that Britney Spears will indeed be featured in an upcoming episode during the show’s second season. Those poor gLeeks at William McKinley High School already endure so much torture and pain, and now this. How much can one show choir take?
Murphy explained that the episode will feature Britney’s songs via fantasy segments from the individual kids. The show will be “reverential” and focuses on her music and not on her personal life. Murphy also explains that Britney will be handled with “kids gloves.” Wow, I wonder what kind of treatment they would give to someone with real talent?
Spears is the latest celebrity to sign-on for a guest appearance, joining John Stamos, Carol Burnett and Javier Bardem.
