Katrina + 5: NBC’s Brian Williams Remembers (video)

A Veracity Stew Series Commemorating The Fifth Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina

NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams came to New Orleans five years ago as the city prepared for Hurricane Katrina. The veteran journalist hunkered down in the Superdome with thousands of displaced residents as the storm battered the city. Williams remained in the city in those days following Katrina and reported on the wave of human suffering caused by the nation’s worst natural disaster and a failed government response led by George W. Bush.

Here is a clip of NBC’s special marking Katrina’s fifth anniversary to be broadcast on Sunday, August 29. Check your local listings.
