Bosnian Police believe they have identified a young girl shown in a video throwing six puppies into a raging river thanks to information provided by animal rights groups. The graphic video caused worldwide outrage when it went viral earlier this week.

Police in the central Bosnian town of Bugojno said Friday they have found the girl they suspect is seen on the video killing six newborn puppies by throwing them into the river one by one.
Police say they have located the girl, who is a juvenile, from leads given by animal protection groups in the country.
The girl’s parents will soon be questioned, police said. Under recently adopted animal protection law, people can be fined up to euro5,000 ($6,400) for cruel treatment of animals.
A fine? Are you kidding me? The only justice in this case would be to strip her naked, bind her hands and legs, then throw her into a raging river. If she survives then throw her into jail for a few years. Anything less is criminal.

It’s outrageous that she won’t get some jail time or public pillory, and a fine doesn’t seem like enough justice in this appalling case. Though like we talked about, childhood abuse of animals is a sign of a disturbingly-detached individual. Let’s hope she doesn’t commit a more serious crime against a human being one day.
But despite the seeming injustice of the penalty, remember that an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth leaves everyone blind and toothless, and that’s only good for seeing eye dogs and denture companies.

There is one good thing from all this. No matter who you are and what corner of the world you call home, if you are videotaped doing something like this, you will be found thanks to the power of the Internet.

I can’t believe the only punishment will be a fine for her parents. This miscarriage of justice is appalling, and makes me want to scream.
She’s a minor.. about age 15?? She is in serious need of counseling- as are her parents! They probably wer behind it. Ugh…
You may be right. It would seem that unless she is completely evil and diabolical (and she just might be), she got the idea to “dispose” of the six puppies somewhere. She just didn’t wake up one morning and say “I’ll throw these puppies in the river.”
