Oklahoma State Rep. Sally Kern has long made her anti-gay views known. But this time she’s dug herself into a hole when she tried to clarify an earlier claim that gays are worse than terrorists. Kern’s homophobic statement comes during a heated campaign against challenger Brittany Novotny, Oklahomas’s first transgendered political candidate.
Kern in a statement to a local FOX affiliate KOKH said:
“Here in America we’ve had what maybe three known real big terrorist attacks on our nation, but every day our young people especially, all of us, but our young people especially are in a sense bombarded with the message that homosexuality is normal and natural.”

I would just like to say that since my discovery of Veracity, I am getting no sleep because I dwell on the ignorance of people in elected office like Ms. Kern here. What is wrong with this woman? I have about decided that all the Republicans need to be sent out for an emergency psychiatric exam.
