World’s First Double Backflip in a Wheelchair (video)

Last weekend, Aaron “Wheelz” Fotheringham achieved the world’s first double backflip in a wheelchair. Fotheringham has spina bifida , and began using a wheelchair when he was three. He has been confined to the chair since the age of eight. Now 18, Fotheringham is an Extreme wheelchair athlete, a sport he describes as “hardcore sitting.”

And boy can “Wheelz” bust a move, as he proves in this heartwarming video of courage and perseverance.
