Sharron Angle, the Tea Party endorsed candidate who failed to unseat Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nv) in last year’s midterm election, has come out with a statement condemning acts of violence and defending her controversial and heated rhetoric during that campaign.
“I condemn all acts of violence. The despicable act in Tucson is a horrifying and senseless tragedy, and should be condemned as a single act of violence, by a single unstable individual,” Angle said in the statement.
“Expanding the context of the attack to blame and to infringe upon the people’s Constitutional liberties is both dangerous and ignorant. The irresponsible assignment of blame to me, Sarah Palin or the Tea Party movement by commentators and elected officials puts all who gather to redress grievances in danger,” Angle added.
In the wake of the shootings in Arizona, pundits, the media and the public have put focus on Angle’s wacky and inflammatory words during her race against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
In one notable comment during that campaign, Angle said, “If this Congress keeps going the way it is, people are really looking towards those Second Amendment remedies.” The statement makes reference to the Second Amendment’s right to bear arms as a defense against an intrusive or oppressive government.
While there is no direction connection between Angle’s numerous remarks and the actions of the suspect in the Rep. Giffords’ assassination attempt, the former Tea Party candidate has certainly added to the violent political discourse.
In the statement, Angle says that “finger pointing” is an effort by the media and pundits to boost ratings. “It contradicts the facts as they are known – that the shooter was obsessed with his twisted plans long before the Tea Party movement began.”
“I have consistently called for reasonable political dialogue on policy issues to encourage civil political education and debate,” she added.
I’m sorry, but that last sentence is complete bullshit! Angle has been given every opportunity to clarify and even retract her divisive statements and has repeatedly run from the press and refused to be held accountable for her words and actions.
She and Sarah Palin have no sense of decency or responsibility.

Why is there not a good compilation site of Angle, Palin, Beck, Limbaugh, etc quotes? They cannot be allowed to turn coat on their own words any longer. For every time one of them says “I don’t use violent rhetoric” (quote from Beck just recently) there needs to be ten people reading off their exact words that prove them to be liars now.
