A school of dolphins near Marco Island, Florida are being credited with alerting humans to the plight of a runaway dog that had been missing for 15 hours and was in distress as he struggled to free himself from a canal.
The dog’s owner, Cindy Burnett had been searching for her Doberman, Turbo, after he escaped from the family’s yard when a gate was left open.
Late on Monday, Cindy found Turbo when a neighbor alerted her to Turbo’s location, thanks to a school of Dolphins who were splashing and making a lot of noise. All through the rescue, the Dolphins never left Turbo’s side.
