A CNN poll released on Thursday shows that while Donald Trump has taken the lead among Republicans in GOP presidential primary season, it also shows a wider segment of the general population finds the birther with a comb-over incredibly unpopular.
- 64% say they have an “unfavorable” opinion of Trump
- 31% say they have a “favorable” opinion
- Among Republicans: 50% have a “favorable” opinion while 45% don’t like him.
A another poll conducted by Rasmussen shows that Trump’s unpopularity may be due to his recent outrageous birther claims and attacks on the President. In that poll, the Donald’s “unfavorable” rating skyrocketed from 53% in April to 66% the first week of May.
While we’re on the subject of birthers and the birth certificate, a new Washington Post poll shows that 86% of Americans believe Obama was born in the United States, up from 77% before the president released his original birth certificate. Those who believe that Obama was not born a U.S. citizen fell from 20% in April to 10% in May. That means the whole issue is DEAD!
