Jon Huntsman continues to make headlines as the only honest and rational thinking Republican left in the known universe by confirming his belief in science and evolution, but revising his previous declaration by giving God credit.
During a “Fox and Friends” appearance, Huntsman reiterated that he trusts evolutionary science, but explained: ”I believe in evolution. I think it’s part of God’s plan.”
Huntsman didn’t elaborate, nor did he engage Fox host Brian Kilmeade’s suggestion that scientists were rigging global warming research.
Perhaps Jon isn’t as honest and rational thinking as I previously gave him credit for. With his appeal among conservatives plummeting faster than the ratings for “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” and his inability to get ahead of the rest of the GOP pack, it would appear that Mr. Huntsman is attempting to pander to the right by clinging to science with a dash of creationism thrown in.
