There was something about Jon Stewart last night and I can’t quite seem to put my finger on it. He seemed to be glowing, shimmering…
Maybe it was that huge-ass tiara sitting on his skull that gave off that impression.
Apparently, Jon doesn’t know how to handle his cash – or rather, The Definitely Not Coordinating With Stephen Colbert Super PAC’s cash, since he admitted that he doesn’t know what to do with it.
“Do I use all this money that individuals and/or corporations who believe deeply in Stephen Colbert have donated to create an advertising campaign around Colbert’s strengths? Or, do I buy this, from the estate of Elizabeth Taylor? Both are legal! Both are legal, but only one brings out my eyes.“
Hence the tiara.
So I guess it becomes a game of trying to interpret Stephen’s wishes from his on-air appearances (similar to Newt Gingrich’s recent plea through the press to his Super PAC to pull or correct their recent hit piece on Mitt Romney), like his weekend interview with George Stephanopoulos, where Colbert mentioned something about Queen Isabella, Italy, and the spice routes, which Jon interpreted as a call to blow a wad of money on a meal prepared by top celebrity chef Mario Batali.
If you have a weak gag reflex, you might want to prepare now.
