How Much More Women Pay for Health Coverage in One Chart

How much more do women pay for health insurance as compared to men? Here’s a chart based on data from the National Women’s Law Center for what 25-year-old women and men are charged per premiums now verses what women would pay under the Affordable Care Act when it goes into full effect in 2014.

Seems like once again the South and those Republican stronghold states have a problem with women.

Sidebar: Conservatives are very upset about the chart above because the graphic on the right of the United States doesn’t show state boundaries (lines). They claim this is an indication of big government doing away with individual state’s rights.

Doing away with individual states’ rights?!?! Right. That’s the issue. Deflect, deflect, deflect. Don’t think it’s gonna work this time, Repugs. Ladies, what say you?

  2. MollyB says:

You’re not serious about conservatives being upset by the no state boundaries thing, are you? Talk about delusional. What do they think the SCOTUS just did with Montana’s campaign spending law? How is that not government overreach into states’ rights?
