Televangelist Pat Robertson must be hurting financially in the current economy. He takes every opportunity to remind his flock to ignore their own difficulties and to keep giving to God through the 700 Club. In a segment this morning, Robertson told a husband to “man up” and ignore his wife’s concerns over finances and continue tithing.
Robertson urged a man also facing financial stress to continue tithing and also to shoot down his wife’s objections, telling him, “you know big man, you are the boss.” Robertson said that as the “high priest of the family” and the “man of the house,” the husband should “man up” and shouldn’t “vacillate” in the face of his wife’s doubts about tithing despite the family’s tight budget.
