Homecoming: Returning Marine Witnesses Son Walk for the First Time (VIDEO)

We love surprise videos of our warriors returning home to loving and warm arms. This homecoming video tops anything we’ve seen in a very long time.

From Neatorama:

Most of the “homecoming surprise” videos you see are families being surprised by a service member coming home from deployment. This story, however, has a twist. Melissa Cooney submitted the video of her husband Staff Sgt. Jeremy Cooney and son Michael to the Welcome Home Blog.

“When my husband left on his deployment, our 6-year-old son could not walk on his own. He has cerebral palsy. Doctors originally said that he would never walk or do much of anything. While daddy was away, he learned to walk. For his homecoming, we set it up for Michael to walk to his daddy for the first time ever! We kept the fact that he could walk a secret the whole time his dad was gone!”
