What happened to the Massachusetts debt? Mitt Romney happened!

Data points represent the state’s debt at the end of each fiscal year. Massachusetts debt broke the previous years’ trend and took a steep jump from $48,478,722 at the end of fiscal year 2003 to $57,163,315 at the end of fiscal year 2004. So much for “small government” and “curbing spending”!
