The unthinkable has happened: the right wing propaganda machine posing as a legitimate news outlet known as Fox News seems to have grown tired of Mitt Romney’s crap. In an interview with Romney’s policy director Lanhee Chen, Fox’s Gregg Jarret appears to be frustrated as the Romney representative once again refuses to give details on the candidate’s proposed tax plan. The campaign has consistently been vague on the question, and it continues in this interview.
Here is some of the transcript of the interview:
JARRETT: He’s not saying which of the loopholes and deductions and credits and exemptions he wants to close. That is huge. That’s significant. How can he not tell the American people those facts?
CHEN: Well, let’s back up for a second. This is a race about two dramatically different philosophies. [...] As you’ve said, they’re going to get rid of some of this underbrush, some of the deductions and some of the exemptions that are clouding our tax code.
JARRETT: But why won’t he explain how and which ones and by how much?
CHEN: Well, you know, a number of different bipartisan commissions over the years have told us exactly how we get there. The key is presidential leadership and that’s something that’s been lacking. That’s something that Governor Mitt Romney is going to provide in the White House.
JARRETT: But Mr. Chen, forgive me, you’re just not answering my question. So let me put it again: which loopholes and deductions and credits and exemptions the President’s going to get rid of would affect all Americans. Before they cast their ballot, don’t they deserve to know which ones are going, which ones are not, and by how much?
CHEN: Look Greg, Governor Romney’s been very clear that first of all we’re going to look to curb deductions for high-income taxpayers. And secondly, a lot of different deductions and exemptions are out there, we’ve got a lot of different ways to get there.

According to the Tax Policy Center, which is strictly non-partisan, even if Romney eliminates deductions and exemptions that the ultra rich favor, he would still have to raise middle class taxes to pay for his tax plan. But we all know that Romney, Mr. Tax Manipulator in Chief, would never eliminate the tax advantages enjoyed by the rich. That would be hurting himself in order to help the middle class, and we can’t have that, now can we? It seems even Fox News wants him to cut the crap and come clean about just what a Romney tax plan would mean for America.

It is getting clearer and clearer that the Romney/ Ryan campaign is is incapable to explain exactly what any plans are so they are turning unscrupulously into into shysters.
It makes no difference who asks the question , the Romney campaign will never answer the quwestiopn about his tax plans for the same reason he will not show his own tax returns.
This man is all secrets and no policys, so he doesn’t deserve my vote, what about your vote?
Matt Taibbi from Rolling Stone wrote an article about the dog abuser this month that really lays it all out there about what a serious danger a Romney presidency would be — looks like everybody is getting the message.

I’ll tell you what Romney’s tax plan is. He’ll go after the last good tax deduction available for the middle class, the mortgage interest deduction. He won’t eliminate it of course but he’ll reduce the amount that can be deducted on all new purchases. He’ll place fees on government services that are currently free. He’ll cut middle class income taxes then attempt to balance the budget with cuts to Medicare and SS. He’ll also use his “middle class income tax cut” as a cover to give his uber-wealthy friends an even bigger piece of the pie which they will use to create jobs…in China, India, Mexico, Pakistan etc.. In summary, no matter what his plans are, the middle class will end up footing the bill. This is why Romney won’t talk about his tax policies. If he did, he’d be tarred and feathered.
JUST tonight, Lawrence O’Donnell reported that even FOX NEWS has a poll indicating Obama has a 5 point edge over Romney? FOX NEWS!?! And this is NOT taking into acct the stupidity that Romney just put upon himseif just in the last 24 hrs! CAN’T WAIT to see the polls after this week. He is even starting to sink in the ONLY demographic he leads in — white middle-aged males.
The right wing propaganda machine has given up hope. When fox “right wing hacks” news gives up on their own candidate then it is over and good (Obama) will defeat evil (romney). There’s an old axiom in boxing that says if you’re going to dethrone the champ, you have to knock him out. If Romney/Ryan want to beat the incumbent, they have to show, clearly and succinctly, that their plans are better than Obama’s. Instead, they show us nothing. They rely instead on the fears they can create with their lies. The good news is, the more they talk, the more people get to know them. In their case, that’s nor a good thing.
