We are pleased to present our second annual end of the year awards and top picks, the Stew in Review. We also include our own version of the person of the year, our “Audacity for Veracity” award, given to a person that stood their ground in the face of adversity. 2011 was a year of the common person — the grassroots protester that finally found it’s collective and global voice. Whether you’re talking of the Arab Spring, Libyan freedom, or the Occupy Wall Street movement, this year was about challenging the warped and corrupt financial, political and social establishments. It was also a great year for pop culture, scandals, trends, annoying individuals, viral videos and the typical assortment of nonsense.

In a year that produced a major crop of assholes like Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, Dominique Straus-Kahn, Arnold Schwarzenegger and others, it was hard to choose just one, but this year’s recipient does not disappoint when it comes to being a selfish, self-serving, whiney bitch-boy of an asshole.
