We Serve It, Even When It's Hard To Swallow
Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp is facing new hacking battles in the United States. The British lawyer who helped expose the criminal culture inside the News of the World has revealed plans to file at least three separate lawsuits on behalf of clients who claim their phones were hacked while they were on US soil.
It really is kind of disturbing to think that Newt Gingrich is sitting atop the polls in the race for the GOP presidential nomination, because he’s just…bad. He’s ill-tempered, mean-spirited, self-serving, self-aggrandizing, and every word that comes crawling out of his mouth just oozes with contempt and dickishness.
The CWA opposes gay rights, comprehensive sex education, drug and alcohol education, and feminism. It touts “pro-life” and “pro-family” values. A few days ago, Concerned Women for America posted a video (below0 with Crouse rattling off a litany of statistics about the gay community’s threat to traditional marriage. Janice’s God only knows where she got the statistics she presented in the video. I’ve tried to find them prior to writing this rebuttal without much luck.

Does this list speak of a leader who strives for virtue in everything he does? Does it speak of preserving justice and working for the good of the whole? Does it speak of one who is sympathetic to the misfortunes of others? Where, in this legacy, do we find a “greatness of soul”? I can’t find it.

This is the defining issue of our time. This is a make or break moment for the middle class, and all those who are fighting to get into the middle class. The only consistent element in Mitt Romney’s entire political career is his willingness to say whatever he thinks he needs to say in order to win.
