GOP presidential hopefuls continue to commit political cannibalism by brutally devouring one another on their own flip-flops and crimes against American voters, picking away at one another long before the eventual nominee even faces Barack Obama in a general contest. The latest feast comes via the Ron Paul campaign and takes direct aim at Newt Ginrich’s blatant hypocrisy on multiple issues.
Right-wing religious extremist Bryan Fischer celebrates the pending retirement of Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) by attacking the openly gay congressman for influencing men to be homosexual and get AIDS, eventually causing their deaths.
The basic takeaway is captured in the video’s title: that Romney is a dishonest fraud and that if he approves an ad like this, then there’s no reason to trust a single word he says. The only other thing I’d add: despite pretending to be a frontrunner, Romney’s decision to air such an obvious lie feels like a Hail Mary. In other words, he’s desperate.

Rick Perry, the disastrous governor from Texas, who flew into the race with both guns blazing, but who has taken an epic faceplant in the debates and speeches, showcasing with pride his less than stellar intellect – or his impending nervous breakdown – which, let’s be honest, makes for some thoroughly enjoyable and snicker-worthy web viewing. Now that former Tea(publican) front-runners Rick Perry and Herman Cain have been knocked from their conservative pedestals by their past, their bumbles, and general idiocy, the right-wring continues to desperately search for a candidate and now focuses it’s last-ditch efforts on Newt Gingrich…the only Speaker in history to be charged with ethics violations and who served his wife with divorce papers while she recovered from cancer.
Clothing company Benetton is under fire this morning for its latest controversial promotion campaign “UnHate” featuring digitally altered photos of world political and religious leaders embraced in a kiss. The ads feature President Obama kissing on Chinese President Hu Jintao and Hugo Chavez as well as French President Nicolas Sarkozy embraced in a passionate kiss with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. But it was a photo of Pope Benedict kissing an Egyptian Imam that caused the Vatican to call the stunt “absolutely unacceptable” and a “grave lack of respect for the pope.”
