At this point in a primary, the candidate in the lead will typically lay low 24-hours before the balloting in an attempt to not screw anything up. So, why did the Romney campaign think it was a good idea to let their candidate do this…
It’s cannibalism at its best, with every word out of Gingrich’s mouth oozing like battery acid, which seemingly gave him the advantage in S. Carolina, and Romney’s apparent inability to neutralize it – until they hit Florida, where Romney’s new debate coach seemed to give him the upper hand on Newt’s vitriol, and Mittens finally landed some punches by making Newt look sad and desperate and just a little pathetic.
Of course, my first thought was, how many calories are we talking about and will it clog up my arteries? Do I have to limit my fetus intake to a once-a-week type thing, like steak, or should I save it for special occasions and celebrations only – you know, like birthdays and Christmas?
