The Republican Super PACS and the Romney campaign have begun unleashing their dishonest attack ads against President Obama. In addition to the swarm of right-wing propaganda, there’s also Mitt’s own flip-flopping and downright lies when it comes to things like taking credit for the auto industry. The Obama campaign is quick to get the truth out in front of voters by releasing a trio of ads this week outlining the president’s accomplishments in stimulating job growth and saving the American auto industry.

And what was their reason for doing such a thing?
Mitt Romney and the boys at his prestigious Cranbrook School referred to themselves as “Crannies”, which I think is awesome. Turns out Ol’ Mittens was a bully at Cranbrook, and saw himself as an enforcer of social norms. The Washington Post reports the disturbing accounts of classmates including a story about him tackling a terrified boy, pinning him to the ground, and cutting his hair because they perceived the boy to be gay.
Significant social change comes slowly. There are those who feel that if they scream, pray, or protest enough that they can prevent society from evolving and moving forward. These obstructionists were there when we (forward-thinking citizens) dared to end slavery, when we dared to give women the right to vote, when we demanded civil rights, and whenever there has been a milestone in turning back the tide of prejudice, intolerance, oppression or inequality.

President Obama has just concluded an interview with ABC’s Robin Roberts (to be aired in part on tonight’s ‘World News with Diane Sawyer’), in which he clarified his position on marriage equality, endorsing Same-Sex marriage. President Obama explained his views are based on “several years” of talking to friends, family, and staff about the issue.
