We Serve It, Even When It's Hard To Swallow
As of this posting, DownRightNow.com is reporting widespread reports of service disruption on Facebook. Our own repeated attempts to access Facebook have been met with error messages. Most of the disruption reports peaked around 9:00 am (PST) just as news outlets were reporting Facebook stock trading at lower than the opening price on the second day of the company’s public offering.
Just in time for the social media giant’s public stock offering, the creative folks at the CDZA Project have released this hilarious musical tribute to the boy billionaire, Mark Zuckerberg, with “Opus No. 3 – ZUCKERBERG: The Musical.”
Old Man Stewart hops on his lawn and yells at the Cloud — or just makes fun of the interwebs in general. And he’s got all his bases covered here — Facebook, Twitter, the SOPA controversy — not to mention all of the hapless politicians who never cease to embarrass themselves with the technology they so obviously do not understand.
The Republicans have been having a field day with women’s rights over the last year and a half. Since regaining control of the House, and several state legislatures the country over in 2010, we have seen more anti-women bills presented than you can shake a stick at. From transvaginal probes to defunding Planned Parenthood to birth control to fetal personhood, you would think we’re living in a man’s world.
But you would be incorrect.
I’ve seen some very unique and creative user designs of the new Facebook Timeline but this one made me chuckle and then gaze in awe at the simple brilliance of it all.
As one of our bloggers put it: we’re not sure how we feel about this. But this viral video of a father’s public reaction to her daughter’s hateful online posting has parents all over applauding his efforts.
The Facebook page, created Wednesday, includes a Career Resources tool, with links to the Department of Labor and several other partners with resources for the unemployed. It also features a tool that allows the unemployed to share their stories.
