Chicago residents confronted Mayor Rahm Emmanuel’s Health Commissioner, Bechara Choucair, over the closing of mental health clinics and the privatization of the clinics that will remain open, particularly on the poor South Side. These concerned voters used the Occupy Wall Street’s “citizen microphone” tactic to deliver their message. Who says Occupy isn’t having an effect?
What you saw tonight is something much more sinister than not having a healthcare plan. It’s sadism, pure and simple.
